PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning optical device that has an enclosure capable of selectively selecting a configuration for emitting a light beam to a plurality of photoreceptors and a configuration for emitting the light beam to a single photoreceptor, and, even when selecting the configuration for emitting the light beam to the single photoreceptor, can suppress noise due to a solid vibration.SOLUTION: In a monochrome scanning optical device 10M, an optical member to be installed in an optical member installation area 20b of an enclosure 2 is composed of only scanning lenses 201, 202 and 205k and a reflection mirror 203k, and a tabular plate member 210 is provided that does not block an optical path of laser light LK reflected by the reflection mirror 203K and travelling to window glass 231K of a top lid 23. The tabular plate member 210 covers most of all the optical member installation area 20b, and thereby a vibration propagated from a bottom plate 21 of the enclosure 2 is cut off and a generation of noise can be suppressed. |
