[Problem] Provided are: a buckle for a connector, the buckle being compact, having a simple structure, and capable of being manufactured with satisfactory efficiency; and a method for assembling the buckle. [Solution] This buckle (1) for a connector has a base member (10), a latch member (20), an unlocking member (30), a latch spring (35), an ejector (40), an ejector spring (45), and cover members (60a, 60b) for housing the abovementioned elements, and the buckle (1) supports a tongue (101) so that the tongue (101) can be engaged with and disengaged from the buckle (1). The buckle for a connector is characterized in that the base member (10) has a first plate (13) and a second plate (15), that the ejector (40) has two arms (41a, 41b) and a body section which is mounted across the arms (41a, 41b) and which has formed thereon: a surface to be pressed and moved, which is pressed and moved by the tongue (101); a support section which supports the latch member (20); and a pressing surface for the ejector spring (45), and that claw sections are formed at the front ends of the arms (41a, 41b), the claw sections engaging with the openings of the base member (10) which are located on the end section side of the base member (10), with the side into which the tongue (101) is inserted defined as the start section side. |
