PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control unit of an electric vehicle exhibiting improved precision in estimation of a magnet temperature of a rotating electrical machine.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle 1 includes motor generators MG1 and MG2, an engine 4, and a power dividing mechanism 3 that divides power among the motor generators MG1 and MG2 and engine 4. The power dividing mechanism 3 includes a first rotating element coupled to the motor generator MG1, a second rotating element coupled to the motor generator MG2, a third rotating element coupled to the engine 4, and a brake that secures the third rotating element. A control unit 30 secures the third rotating element using the brake. When the electric vehicle is traveling with outputs of the motor generators MG1 and MG2, the control unit 30 diminishes a torque of one of the motor generators, and augments a torque of the other motor generator, and estimates a magnet temperature Tm of the motor generator, the torque of which has been diminished, on the basis of an induced voltageφ. |
