PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a priority-based application execution method and a device for a data processing device.SOLUTION: A method for executing an application with a processor operating divided into a secure mode area and a non-secure mode area includes the steps of: receiving a request to be processed in the non-secure mode area from the application, and when an access permission level set to a resource used for processing the request is set to allow for access from the secure mode area; determining a priority of the application; changing the access permission level of the resource to allow for access from the non-secure mode area according to the priority of the application; and then processing the request of the application using the resource in the non-secure mode area.
