The present invention relates to a compound having a novel structure and an organic electroluminescent element comprising same, the compound having a basic structure formed by fusing a ring comprising a heteroatom with phenanthrocarbazole, wherein the basic structure has various substituents bonded thereto. The present invention can improve the light-emitting efficiency, driving voltage, and lifespan of an element by including the compound in at least one organic layer, preferably a light-emitting layer, thereof.
