The tool has a drive unit (10), an electronic unit (12) and a cooling device (14) arranged for refrigerating the drive unit and the electronic unit. The cooling device is provided with a memory unit (16), which is provided for an active storage of thermal energy in a form of energy. The memory unit is provided with conversion elements (18, 20), which are provided for converting the thermal energy into a deviating form of energy. A transport unit (26) is provided for transporting the thermal energy to the memory unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for refrigerating a drive unit and an electronic unit of hand-held power tools.
