Class 75(4) An anti-dazzle headlight comprises a light source 2 positioned in a parabolic reflector 1 so as to project a parallel beam, a plurality of strips 8, 9 mounted in front of the light source and the reflector and concentrically surrounding the axis of the reflector, the strips 9 in the lower portion of the reflector being half cylindrical and extending parallel to the projected light rays, the strips 8 in the upper portion of the reflector being half truncated conical with the radius of the front edge of each conical strip smaller than the radius of the rear edge of the neighbouring conical strip situated further inwardly, the inner faces 18 of the conical strips being reflecting and all the other faces of the conical and cylindrical strips being non-reflecting. The conical strips are arranged parallel to the converging beam of light produced by an alternate source of light within the reflector. The strips 8, 9 are fixed to a central strip 10 connected at its ends to the reflector.</p> |
