PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress removal of heat of a refrigerant pipe provided in a lower part of a heat exchanger for prevention of refreezing of drain water by outside air.SOLUTION: An air conditioner comprises: a refrigerant circuit which includes a compressor, an usage-side heat exchanger for condensing a refrigerant discharged from the compressor during a heating operation, and a heat-source-side heat exchanger 8 for evaporating a refrigerant sent from the usage-side heat exchanger and performs refrigeration cycle of vapor compression type; a blowing fan which generates an air flow passing through the heat-source-side heat exchanger 8; and defrost means which executes a defrost operation for the heat-source-side heat exchanger 8. The air conditioner is, in the lower portion of the heat-source-side heat exchanger 8, provided with a refrigerant pipe 81 for fluidizing a high-pressure refrigerant sent from the usage-side heat exchanger during a heating operation and/or defrost operation, or a refrigerant discharged from the compressor, and shielding members 75,76 for shielding an air flow to a portion where the refrigerant pipe 81 is arranged in the heat-source-side heat exchanger 8. |
