One embodiment of a method for user equipment controlling communication comprises the steps of: transmitting to a base station a user equipment capability information message for resolving a power imbalance problem due to a primary serving cell (Pcell) of a first carrier type and a secondary serving cell (Scell) of a second carrier type in the CA environment; measuring the Pcell and the Scell and transmitting a power imbalance notification message to the base station according to the result of the measurement, when information indicating support for solving the power imbalance problem is received from the base station; and receiving a reply message to the power imbalance indication message from the base station.
