The sensor has a receiving coil that is formed with a two receiving coil section (2,4). A transmission coil (1) and a receiving coil section are arranged in a plane. The transmission coil is arranged mirror-symmetrically to a straight line (14). A transmission coil (1) and the receiving coil section (2) are arranged symmetrically with respect to the second straight line (24). The straight lines (14,25) are arranged twisted to one another by an angle. The transmission coil (1,3) are designed differently to produce the same current varying electromagnetic fields.
