PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of continuously and smoothly rotating and running a fixing belt.SOLUTION: A fixing unit 40 is a device for heating and pressurizing a toner image T electrostatically transferred onto a paper P, to fix the toner image T. The fixing unit 40 includes a pressure member 44 applying predetermined pressure to the paper P and a heating member 42. The heating member 42 (or the pressure member 44) includes an endless fixing belt 408 forming a fixing nip part N by press-contact, a lubricant applied to the inner surface of the fixing belt 408, a guide member guiding the rotation operation of the fixing belt 408, and a projection part 404b extended inward from the guide member 404, to have a tapered shape. In the projection part 404b, the direction of the taper with respect to the rotational direction of the fixing belt 408 has an obtuse angle and the direction of the taper with respect to the inner surface of the fixing belt 408 in the rotational direction has an acute angle. |
