PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that is able to speedily and accurately determine a focusing position and obtain a high quality image with less blur.SOLUTION: In a first arrangement step, the arrangement of a plurality of imaging elements is controlled so that the focal points on the subject side, which correspond to imaging elements, are formed at different depths in an optical axis direction, and a subject is pre-imaged. By comparing image data obtained from the imaging elements in the pre-imaging, a focusing position, which is the depth of the focal point at which a focused image is obtained, is determined. In a second arrangement step, the plurality of imaging elements are re-arranged using the focusing position as a reference, and the subject is main-imaged. |
