PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cancer detection method that has low invasiveness given to a subject and has high detection sensitivity and high accuracy.SOLUTION: Provided are: the cancer detection method that measures, in vitro, the amount of CSRP1 protein in a body fluid sample derived from a subject or whether the CSRP1 protein is present or not and that detects cancer in the subject by using the amount of the CSRP1 protein or its presence or absence as an index; and a cancer detection kit including an antibody capable of combining specifically with the protein.
