PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening-prevention and reinforcement device for reed screens and rattan blinds in order to improve the situation that conventional reed screens and rattan blinds, as they are made of tens of reeds tied with strings of hemp palm or linen, have the tying strings decay and break after being exposed to direct sun light and weather for 2 to 3 years, consequently the entire part of the reed screen or the rattan blind, or especially the lower half of the reed screen, opens like bamboo brooms, bends, breaks, and reaches the end of its usage.SOLUTION: A reed screen in this invention has hook-provided coil-form fittings be fitted in the gaps of reeds in the alignment of parallel lines, each of which have three to four pieces of the fittings. The reed screen is entirely reinforced by support bars inserted through the rings of the hook-provided coil-form fittings which protrude on both the front and back face of the reed screen. A rattan blind is applied with the same arrangement. |
