The present invention drives an oscillator (2) using, in place of a conventional transformer, a bridge circuit (3) for which influence of extraneous electromagnetic noise is small and that comprises four switching elements. As the transmission power is reduced in the bridge circuit scheme in comparison to a transformer coupling scheme, a compression processing unit (6) performs compression processing on reception signals to improve reception sensitivity.
