<p>In an elevator device of the present invention, an acceleration detector (10) that generates an acceleration signal in accordance with the acceleration of a car (1) in the travelling direction is installed on the car (1). A car speed monitoring unit (11) finds the travelling speed of the car (1) from the acceleration signal from the acceleration detector (10). An excessive speed is preset in the car speed monitoring unit (11). If the travelling speed of the car (1) found by the acceleration detector (10) reaches the preset excessive speed, the car speed monitoring unit (11) stops the car (1) using brake devices (6a, 6b).</p> |
