An objective of the present invention is to provide a negative electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, a method for manufacturing the same, and a lithium ion secondary battery. The negative electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte contains particles having Si, dispersed in SiO2, as active materials, is capable of maintaining high battery capacity and low rate of volume expansion even in a low temperature dry process (at the temperature less than 250°C), and has high first-time charge and discharge efficiency and cycle properties. The negative electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery contains (A) particles having Si, dispersed in SiO2; (B) a polyamide-imide resin; (C) an auxiliary conductive material comprising carbon fibers and carbon black; and (D) a substance for enhancing the permeability of the electrolyte.
