PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sodium secondary battery excellent in cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: A sodium secondary battery includes: a positive electrode capable of inserting and desorbing sodium ions; a negative electrode capable of inserting and desorbing metallic sodium, metal capable of forming an alloy with sodium, or sodium ions; and an electrolyte having sodium ion conductivity. The negative electrode includes tin sulfate (SnSO).
