PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform evaluation of an ultraviolet rays protection effect in a short period of time with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An evaluation method, which is an evaluation method for performing evaluation of an ultraviolet rays protection effect in a measurement sample coated on a coating object member, has: a first step of measuring a spectral transmittance by switching to a first filter for measuring a spectral transmittance before photo-deterioration in a predetermined wavelength region, by light irradiation of a light source including ultraviolet rays by a pre-set light irradiation condition; a second step of measuring a spectral transmittance by switching to a second filter for ultraviolet rays irradiation after the measurement by the first step, by making the coating object member photo-deteriorate for a predetermined period of time, then, by switching to the first filter; and a third step of performing evaluation of the ultraviolet rays protection effect based on the temporal change of the spectral transmittance acquired by repeating the second step for the predetermined period of time or for the predetermined number of times. |
