PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope system capable of accurately performing white balance processing for both ordinary light and special light in a short time.SOLUTION: An electronic endoscope system comprises: light emitting means that is capable of selectively emitting either one of broadband light and narrowband light; and white balance adjusting means that applies white balance processing to an imaging signal from imaging means. In the electronic endoscope system, the white balance adjusting means comprises: first white balance correction value calculation means that converts the imaging signal into a first RGB primary color signal when a reference chart is exposed to the broadband light, and calculates a first white balance correction value to the broadband light on the basis of the first RGB primary color signal; and second white balance correction value calculation means that converts the imaging signal into a third RGB primary color signal when the reference chart is exposed to the broadband light, and calculates a second white balance correction value to the narrow-band light on the basis of the third RGB primary color signal. |
