PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve power saving while suppressing deterioration in communication quality.SOLUTION: An access point device comprises: a power source information processing unit for acquiring a power amount supplied by a power source; a storage battery information processing unit for acquiring a power amount stored in a storage battery; a radio communication unit for performing radio communication with another access point device using a one-to-one line; and an operation mode control unit which calculates storage battery exhaustion required time, which is time until the access point device becomes incapable of operating because of shortage of power, on the basis of the power amount acquired by the power source information processing unit and the power amount acquired by the storage battery information processing unit, and controls the radio communication unit by, for each line, determining whether to make the radio communication unit operate in an active mode where communication is enabled all the time or to make the radio communication unit operate in a sleep mode where communication is enabled intermittently, on the basis of the calculated storage battery exhaustion time and a traffic amount of the line.
