<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that is excellent in display definition.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises: a first substrate AR that is provided with a pixel electrode PE including a contact section PC and a main pixel electrode PA extending along a second direction Y from the contact section PC; a second substrate CT that is provided with a main common electrode CA extending along the second direction Y on both sides interposing the main electrode PA; and a liquid crystal layer LQ that includes a liquid crystal molecule LM held between the first substrate AR and the second substrate CT. A width of the contact section PC along a first direction X is larger than that of the main pixel electrode PA along the first direction X, and a width WA along the first direction X of a first part A of the main pixel electrode PA is more than a width WB along the first direction X of a second part B away from the contact section PC along the second direction Y with respect to the first part A of the main pixel electrode PA.</p> |
