PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label peeling mechanism and a printer in which a label can be peeled from a mount sheet reliably and with which space saving can be achieved even when a label continuous body in which greater peeling force is required is used such as the one having width larger than a standard width and the one having a label whose adhesive force is greater than a standard adhesive force.SOLUTION: A label peeling mechanism 5 includes: a mount sheet turning and peeling part 28 that is disposed parallel to a rotary shaft 22 at an outer peripheral side from an outer peripheral surface of body rollers 23 and turns a direction of a mount sheet 12 by being in contact with a back surface of the mount sheet 12; a mount sheet turning and peeling part support plate 27 that is disposed between the body rollers 23 and supports the mount sheet turning and peeling part 28; and support members (25, 26) for fixing the mount sheet turning and peeling part support plate 27 against rotation of the body rollers 23. |
