PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay device capable of collecting failure information while suppressing increase in resource and power consumption.SOLUTION: A relay device 100, for use in relaying data to a connector that allows detachable attaching of an external diagnosis apparatus 200 from an electronic control device 11 connected to an on-vehicle network 13, includes: information reception means for receiving vehicle state information and control status information of the electronic control device transmitted to the on-vehicle network; failure information request means for requesting failure information to the electronic control device that has transmitted the vehicle state information and control status information that meet a given condition; failure information recording means for recording, in storage means, the failure information received from the electronic control device; and failure information transmission means for transmitting the failure information stored in the storage means to the external diagnosis apparatus via the connector. |
