PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replenishing developer capable of suppressing the reduction of a charge amount for a long period and excellent in image quality.SOLUTION: The replenishing developer is used for a developing method for developing an image while supplying a replenishing developer to a developing device in which the two-component developer composed of a toner and a carrier is stored, and includes a toner particle of negative chargeability, a first and a second external additives, and a replenishing carrier. The first external additive is hydrophobic spherical silica of negative chargeability, and the second external additive is a particle of positive chargeability. A replenishing carrier contains a magnetic particle and a coating layer provided on the surface of the magnetic particle. The coating layer contains a resin component containing at least a polymer including an acrylic monomer as a constituent component and hydrotalcite diffused in a state of particle that a number average particle diameter is 0.1 to 0.6μm. |
