PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that can efficiently and stably produce polycarbonate resin which is excellent in heat stability, color tone and mechanical strength, and which has less foreign matter.SOLUTION: The polycarbonate resin pellets are produced by using, as dihydroxy compound of the raw material, a particular dihydroxy compound that has a -CH-O- group, carrying out the polycondensation by an ester exchange reaction, and feeding thus obtained polycarbonate resin that has a glass transition temperature of 80°C or more and lower than 145°C, into an extruder at temperature of 180°C or more and lower than 250°C. |
