PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect many types of gears with a simple configuration by performing photographing with a camera facing a chamfered surface.SOLUTION: The inspection device 10 includes four cameras 12a, 12b, 12c, and 12d, and each camera is disposed so as to face a chamfered surface (322a-322d, 342a-342d or the like) formed at the tip of a tooth of a gear. In accordance with the type, size, and thickness of the gear, each camera is displaced in the direction parallel with the line passing the center of the gear (32a and 32b) and the center of the tooth to be inspected, of a plurality of teeth (320 and 340) disposed in the gear. When the position of the camera is adjusted, a workpiece (W) is rotated, and the camera photographs the facing chamfered surface. The photographed image of the chamfered surface is processed by a computer (50), and the presence/absence of a defect is determined. |
