This hybrid vehicle drive device includes: a transmission coupled to the engine output shaft of an engine; a clutch coupled to the transmission output shaft of the transmission; a first gear coupled to the clutch output shaft of the clutch; a final reduction gear that always meshes with the first gear; a drive shaft coupled to the final reduction gear; and a power transmission mechanism that is provided with a first rotation element coupled to an electric motor, and a second rotation element that meshes with the final reduction gear and rotates with rotation of the first rotation element. Also, as seen from the rotation axis direction of the gears, the power transmission mechanism is arranged such that the line connecting the rotation axis of the first rotation element and the rotation axis of the second rotation element is inclined towards the first gear with respect to the vertical direction of the vehicle when mounted on the vehicle.
