The device has two conductors (1, 2) arranged between an insulator (3) and conductor layers (4). The conductor layers are extended from the insulator and connected to one another through resistors (5) and capacitors. The conductor layers are located to each other at equal distances, where the resistors have a same resistance value. A measuring device controls electric current and/or electric voltage between the conductor layers and the conductors. The resistors are formed in a conductive coating of the insulator, where measurement result is compared with a reference value. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a bus bar with a device.
