PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a washing machine capable of quickly stopping the rotation of a drum even when a user mistakenly tries to open a door while the washing machine is in operation, a hook breaks at a center part and the door opens with the hook being sandwiched between an outer shell part and a sliding member of a door switch device.SOLUTION: A control device 36 makes a motor 11 operate only when a switch B31 (accommodated in a door switch device 5) detects the locking of a door 1 by holding means 13 (accommodated in the door switch device 5), after a pressing plate part 22 for pressing a switch A27 (accommodated in the door switch device 5) provided integrally with a hook 3 rotates and the switch A27 detects the closing of the door 1. Even when the hook 3 breaks and the door 1 opens, the rotation of a drum 12 can be stopped quickly. |
