PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a displayed body to be easily manufactured and visually recognized with a high contrast and a high visibility.SOLUTION: A front light unit 31 comprises: a lighting device 33 for irradiating from a front side an opaque displayed body 32 such as a photograph etc.; and a protection sheet 34 for protecting a surface of the lighting device 33. The lighting device 33 has a light guide plate 35 and an LED light source 36. Light from the LED light source 36 is irradiated from an end surface 37 of the light guide plate 35 into the light guide plate 35. The light guide plate 35 has a printing substrate formed of a transparent acrylic board, for example. A main surface of the printing substrate opposite to a main surface of the printing substrate facing the opaque displayed body 32 is formed with fine dot pattern 38 through printing. The dot pattern 38 is printed by rolling a roll-like letter press material coated with printing ink along the main surface of the printing substrate.
