PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving protein production by cultured cells, especially mammalian cells, and a method of facilitating improvement in the efficacy of therapeutic proteins produced in cell culture.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a novel method of reducing protein misfolding and aggregation in the cell culture by growing the cell culture at a reduced temperature and/or reduced pH, and improving the quality of the protein produced in the cell culture. Thus, the method facilitates improvement in the efficacy of therapeutic proteins. The reduced temperature is 27.0 to 30°C and the reduced pH is 6.80 to 7.00. |
