PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus capable of monitoring the reproducibility of a helical shuttle scan in an arbitrary reference.SOLUTION: An X-ray CT apparatus of an embodiment includes an X-ray scan unit having an X-ray generating part and an X-ray detection part which perform X-ray radiography by scanning the periphery of a subject laid on a top plate. The X-ray CT apparatus causes the X-ray scan unit to perform X-ray radiography while moving the top plate and the X-ray scan unit reciprocally relative to the subject in a first direction that runs along a longitudinal direction of the top plate and in a second direction that is the opposite direction. The X-ray CT apparatus has a comparison part. The comparison part compares positions of the top plate at the time of obtaining a predetermined view number in a plurality of X-ray radiography in the first direction or a plurality of X-ray radiography in the second direction.
