The strengthened glass of the present invention addresses the problem of providing a glass for strengthening, and strengthened glass exhibiting a density and high-temperature viscosity that have been reduced, resistance to KNO3 molten salt deterioration, and superior resistance to thermal-shock. The strengthened glass includes a compression stress layer on the surface thereof, and is characterized in that the glass composition contains, in mol%, 50-80% of SiO2, 5-30% of Al2O3, 0-2% of Li2O, 5-25% of Na2O, and 0-5% of K2O, and does not substantially contain As2O3, Sb2O3, PbO, or F. |
