This lubricant oil composition incorporates a boron-containing compound for which the ratio of the integrated value of the peaks in a 5-25 ppm chemical shift with respect to the integrated value of the peaks in a -10 ppm-25 ppm chemical shift when subjected to 11B-NMR measurement in deuterochloroform using BF3•OEt2 as the external standard is from 0.5 to 1.0, inclusive.
