The device has a stationary charging unit installed in a public space and attached with a movable charging unit for transmission of an inductive current to a rechargeable battery (9) of an electrical bicycle. The stationary unit is fixed as a holding eyelet (2) at a carrier structure (1) and formed with an integrated transmission induction coil (3). The movable unit is formed according to a type of an annular bicycle lock (4). An integrated reception induction coil (6) conducts an induced voltage of the lock from the transmission coil into the battery over an electrical charging cable (7). The annular bicycle lock is designed as a folding lock, a bracket lock, a covered chain link lock or a steel cord lock.
