A rest assembly for a spectacle frame is described, in particular for resting on the nose, with a frame element having a connecting portion (12) and a holding portion (14), and with a rest part which is held by the holding portion (14) of the frame element and is produced in one piece from plastic. The rest part encloses at least one cavity (28) and has at least one air equalization opening which connects the cavity (28) to the environment. Here, the cross section of the air equalization opening is much smaller than the mean cross section of the cavity (28), and the wall thickness and the material properties of the rest part are chosen in such a way that, when the rest part rests on a surface, in particular the nose, it is compressed from a starting position under reversible deformation, and it returns elastically to the starting position in the unloaded state. To reduce the danger of the rest part being accidentally lost, the frame element extends through the air equalization opening into the rest part in such a way that the holding portion (14) is located inside the cavity (28). |
