A plate glass manufacturing device (1) causes molten glass (Y) to flow down from a mold (2), and forms plate glass (G) using the overflow downdraw method. This device (1) is provided with a pair of first heating devices (6) for heating the molten glass (Y) from both sides thereof. The first heating devices (6) are constituted by a plurality of first heaters (7) arrayed in the width direction of the molten glass (Y). The division position (P1) of the first heaters (7) of the first heating device (6) on one side and the division position (P2) of the first heaters (7) of the first heating device (6) on the other side differ in the width direction.
