PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic dishwasher detergent composition and a method for washing dishes using the same, that exhibits an excellent cleaning capability against dirt by rice and tea incrustation.SOLUTION: The automatic dishwasher detergent composition contains: compound (A) of general formula (1) by 10 to 25 mass%; percarbonate (B) by 1 mass% or more and less than 10 mass%; protease (C) by 0.05 to 3 mass%; amylase (D) by 0.05 to 3 mass%; and polycarboxylic acid type polymer compound (E) by 5 to 20 mass%, and the mass ratio [(A)/(B)] is over 1 and less than or equal to 10.
