PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support system of a vehicle capable of properly estimating a driver's steering state using a simple and inexpensive arrangement, and deciding on termination of steering support.SOLUTION: A torque that acts on a steering shaft 2 is detected as a steering torque Ts by a steering torque sensor 35, and a pitching of a vehicle body is detected. A steering control unit 20 (control implementation discrimination block 20e) discriminates a torque relevant to the pitching of the vehicle body as a noise from the steering torque Ts detected by the steering torque sensor 35, distinguishes a state of a driver's intervention in steering on the basis of a varying state of the steering torque Ts from which the noise is excluded, and thus properly estimates the state of the driver's intervention in steering. The steering control unit then decides on termination of automatic steering control on the basis of the estimated driver's steering state. |
