PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device and an imaging method for enabling a user to surely acquire the best photographic image in accordance with the release operation of the user without increasing image data to be read out of an imaging element, and to be temporarily stored.SOLUTION: The imaging device includes: an adjustment value storage memory 13 for performing image processing to image data, and for storing display time lag information until a live view image is displayed at a display part and release time lag information unique to a photographer since the photographer intends the start of photography until actually instructs a photography start operation. On the basis of the display time lag information and the release time lag information, when the photographer instructs the photography start operation, a time going back by time in which a timing detection signal is detected is set as a recording start time, and a photographic image is acquired and recorded in a memory 11 for storage. |
