The device for evaporating a liquid comprises an evaporation chamber (10) intended to contain a liquid that is to be evaporated and supply means (12) allowing a gas to be introduced into a liquid (11) that is to be evaporated contained in the evaporation chamber (10) so as to form bubbles of gas in the liquid and encourage the liquid to evaporate. The evaporation device may be employed in an installation that allows the production of electrical energy by evaporating/condensing seawater.
