The apparatus (20) has a receiver (22) for receiving a control signal of a remote controller (30), which controls the apparatus or an air conditioning apparatus. A transmitter (24) transmits a request signal to the remote controller and makes the remote controller to generate a signal perceptible from a human being. A user interface (26) receives a predetermined input from the user. The user interface is coupled with the transmitter such that a request signal is transmitted with receipt of the predetermined input.
