The method involves arranging a combustion engine and an electric machine (5) in a hybrid vehicle (22) for cooling air which is warmed during operation of the electric machine and is discharged as exhaust air. The heated exhaust air of the electric machine is supplied to the component of the hybrid vehicle for cooling and/or heating purposes. The heated exhaust air of the electric machine is fed to the strongly heated exhaust system of the hybrid vehicle for cooling purposes. An independent claim is included for hybrid vehicle.
