The present invention relates to a device and a method for automatically transferring a work bench to a high work place. According to the present invention, the device having a boom arranged on a chassis frame, multiple joints arranged on the end of the boom, and a work bench arranged on the end of the multiple joints comprises a measurement part for measuring a first position vector from the origin of the chassis to an arbitrary position and a second position vector from the arbitrary position to a target position; a calculation part for calculating a third position vector from the origin of the chassis to the target position based on the first and second position vectors measured by the measurement part; and a control part for controlling the work bench to the target position by controlling the boom and the multiple joints using the third position vector calculated by the calculation part; thereby quickly transferring the work bench to the target position. |
