A system for offering the location information of a terminal and a method thereof are provided to offer the improved data service to a user by applying the location value of the terminal to the data service. A client terminal(10) transmits a message for requesting the location value of a target terminal(60). A calculation unit(30) calculates the location value of the target terminal. When the message for requesting the location value is received, a location server(20) transmits a message for requesting to start the position calculation to the target terminal. If the message for requesting to start the position calculation is received, the target terminal includes the information about a cell connected with the target terminal in the position calculation start message. |
