摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cogeneration apparatus capable of easily performing power generation during a power failure of a commercial power system and capable of supplying electric power stably as much as possible even in a power failure by deciding a deterioration situation or the like of a power generation unit and determining whether power generation is to be performed or not.SOLUTION: A cogeneration apparatus includes: a switch arranged between a power generation output in power failure, which is connected to an electric load when a commercial power system is cut off, and a power generation unit. When a power failure is not detected, the switch is held at OFF until total operation time of an internal combustion engine reaches first predetermined time and the power generation unit is connected to the commercial power system to supply electric power (S16 to S20). When a power failure is detected, a deterioration degree of the power generation unit is estimated, whether power generation by the power generation unit is possible or not is determined on the basis of the estimated deterioration degree (S22 to S30), and when determining that power generation is possible, the switch is turned on and electric power from the power generation unit is supplied to the power generation output in power failure (S24, S26).
