PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embedded permanent magnet synchronous motor capable of reducing high frequency noise caused by torque ripples in low speed rotation.SOLUTION: An indented "V"-shaped recess 200 is formed between adjacent permanent magnets 300, 300' within an outer surface of a rotor 100 of an embedded permanent magnet synchronous motor with permanent magnets embedded therein. The opening angle (G) of the indented recess is set to 103-107°.
