PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration suitable for improving a space factor while suppressing an increase in core loss in a method for manufacturing a dust core configured using a soft magnetic material powder.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a dust core configured using a soft magnetic material powder comprises: a first step of mixing the soft magnetic material powder, a thermoplastic resin, and a silicone resin; a second step of heating the mixture which has passed the first step and pressing the heated mixture at a molding temperature not less than a glass transition temperature of the thermoplastic resin and a glass transition temperature of the silicone resin; and a third step of thermally processing a compact which has passed the second step at a temperature higher than the molding temperature.
