PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic molding for vapor deposition having a surface of a thin film excellent in adhesion regardless of the material of the plastic molding, a plastic molding with gas barrier properties having high gas barrier properties and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The method for producing a plastic molding for vapor deposition according to the present invention in which a gas barrier thin film is formed on a plastic molding to form a plastic molding with gas barrier properties comprises: a surface treatment step for providing radical generating means on a surface of the plastic molding; and an intermediate film forming step for graft polymerizing acrylic acid on the surface of the radical generating means in a solution containing the acrylic acid monomer in a concentration of 0.01 to 5.0 M at a temperature of 40°C or more to fix the acrylic acid as a graft polymerization layer.
